WINDSOR CASTLE
Over 900 years of royal history are waiting for you in Windsor Castle, which is perched high above the River Thames just outside of London. From William the Conqueror all the way through to our current Queen, successive monarchs have lived here and left their mark on what is now the largest continuously occupied castle in the world. Your ticket allows entrance to the castle, so you can see for yourself the splendour of St. Georges chapel and the sumptuous state apartments. Windsor itself is a pretty town full of traditional shops and historic pubs. Shakespeare is said to have written his play The Merry Wives of Windsor in one of them! After our visit to Windsor, we drive through Runnymede, where King John signed the Magna Carta.

STONEHENGE
The most famous prehistoric monument in the world, and now a world heritage site, Stonehenge stands alone in the vast empty tract of Salisbury plain. Its origins date back nearly 5,000 years and it has been home to pagan religion and spiritual worship, not to be mention public debate ever since. What was this vast collection of stones intended for? Was it observatory of the moon, a temple to the sun, or an elaborate cemetery? Who were the people who carried and carved these 40 ton rocks? Come and unlock the secrets for yourself and marvel at this remarkable and mysterious feat of ancient engineering and design.

BATH
Bath, another world heritage site, is a beautiful Georgian city with delightful crescents, terraces and architecture. Following our guided tour of the city, there will be plenty of time to visit Bath Abbey and Pulteney Bridge overlooking the river Avon cascading over the weir. And you can shop, explore and take afternoon tea in the Pump Rooms while listening to the string quartet.

As the sun sets, the flares and torches are lit encircling the magnificent Roman Baths, where over one million litres of boiling water still burst from the hot springs everyday. As the other visitors are asked to leave, we enjoy a private viewing of this great site -- exclusive to Premium Tours. Feel free to explore the baths on your own should you wish, or just soak up the atmosphere as the pockets of mist swirl above the bubbling pools. A truly magical end to a wonderful day.

During the autumn of 1888, terror struck when Jack the Ripper came out of the fog and dimly lit alleys just long enough to stalk and butcher his five victims. At this point we leave the coach and walk his death trail inspecting the murder sites, deciphering the evidence and discussing his suspects. To this day the case remains unsolved. Come and investigate the case for yourself - who was Jack the Ripper?

Part 3: The Terror of the Thames
The River Thames takes on a whole new dimension in the dark. Join our terror cruise and listen to tales of KGB murders and suspicious suicides as we creep back from the Tower of London to Embankment Pier.

Leeds Castle, Dover, Canterbury and Greenwich Tour plus Thames Cruise
@ Premium Tours

Leeds Castle, Dover, Canterbury and Greenwich Tour plus Thames Cruise Information

Private viewing of Leeds Castle plus Sparkling wine/tea and scones cruise on the River Thames

Return: Tour returns to Westminster Pier at 6.45pm

Highlights:
* Private viewing of Leeds castle - The loveliest castle in the world.
* Lunch in the Lighthouse Inn overlooking the White Cliffs of Dover
* Entrance to Canterbury Cathedral
* Walking tour of historic Greenwich
* Sparkling wine/tea and scones reception and cruise along the River Thames

The Tour:
After we have picked you up directly from or close to your hotel, we drive straight to Leeds Castle for a unique private viewing before the castle opens to the public. From here we travel to the coast to have lunch in a charming inn overlooking the White Cliffs of Dover and with breathtaking views of the English Channel. Our afternoon is spent enjoying the delights of Canterbury with its magnificent Cathedral, before heading to Greenwich for some free time to enjoy the markets, or an optional walking tour of this historic town. As the sun begins to set we board our luxury boat for a Sparkling wine/tea and scones cruise along the river Thames taking us all the way back to London. What a day!

LEEDS CASTLE
Described as the "loveliest castle in the world", Leeds Castle was once a Royal residence for six of Englands medieval queens, a palace of Henry VIII, and a retreat for the rich and powerful. The setting is simply idyllic. The Norman castle was built on two small islands, in the middle of a lake, and is surrounded by a vast estate. Our day begins with a private viewing prior to the castle opening to the public. We will explore the chapel, galleries, courtyards and banqueting hall before taking time to enjoy the setting and wildlife, which includes wildfowl, black swans and the birds of the aviary.

DOVER
Youve heard of the famous white cliffs of Dover? This is your chance to see them. Following our scenic drive along the old coastal road, we take lunch* in the Lighthouse Inn, dramatically positioned overlooking the cliffs. On a clear day you can even see France. The Inn has provided hospitality for a vast collection of people from bootleggers and smugglers, to Second World War soldiers. The fabulous home cooking here includes traditional British fare, such as fish and chips, and bread and butter pudding. Dover itself is an historic port with a magnificent 12th century castle.
*Food and drinks not included in the price.

CANTERBURY
The ancient city of Canterbury has been the centre of Christian worship for almost 1,700 years. Its greatest treasure is the cathedral, infamous as the setting for the brutal murder of Thomas Beckett in 1170. When Henry II snapped "Who will rid me of this turbulent priest?", four of his knights rode to the Cathedral and sliced Becketts head off. Canterbury became the centre of one of the most important medieval pilgrimages in Europe, immortalised by Geoffrey Chaucer in The Canterbury Tales. Your ticket includes entrance to the Cathedral and also allows some free time to explore the atmospheric old town.

GREENWICH AND THAMES CRUISE
Packed with exquisite parks, gardens, and architecture, Greenwich has strong connections with the sea, science, sovereigns and time. We will have time to take a look at the Cutty Sark, the fastest sailing ship of its time.
As the early evening approaches we enjoy an exclusive Champagne reception, as we gently cruise back to the centre of London. We will pass by historic sights such as the Tower of London, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, before arriving at Westminster pier where our tour ends

London Ducktours @ County Hall

London Ducktours Information

Welcome to Ducktours - Home of the world famous London amphibious Tour!

Offering more than just a sightseeing tour; it's an exciting road and river adventure appealing to visitors of all ages!

PLEASE NOTE
Once you have purchased tickets from us, you will need to call 020 7928 3132 to reserve a tour-time. Tours are daily from 10am to 6pm June-September; 11am-Dusk November-May (weekends and school holiday periods start at 10am).

Departing from Chicheley Street, behind County Hall, our amphibious vehicles drive past famous London landmarks such as Big Ben and The House of Parliament, Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus before a dramatic launch into the Thames from our slipway at Vauxhall for the water borne part of the 70 minute tour.

The excitement of seeing the capital in this novel way is enhanced by an entertaining, action packed commentary by our character guides providing an alternative view of London's history, plus fascinating facts and figures about the Duck vehicles themselves.

The amphibious craft, originally known as 'DUKWS' were first used for the D-Day landings when more than 21,000 were built to take the troops ashore. To reflect their amphibious nature they have been renamed 'Ducks' for the London adventure.

Ready for action. Today's vehicles bear little resemblance to their military predecessors in their eye catching yellow livery. An initial fleet of five vehicles have been totally rebuilt to meet the stringent safety regulations set by the D.E.T.R. and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (M.C.A).

The vehicles have been extensively refurbished and fitted with the latest environnmentally friendly diesel engines. The deluxe refits includes comfortable seating for 30 passengers, a public address system and full safety equipment.

Your guide will tell you about the colleges famous students, which include Albert Einstein and Lewis Carroll, who wrote his enchanting tales of Alice in Wonderland here. Before visiting Christ Church you can even take tea in the shop where the real-life Alice bought her sweets! Our trip to Oxford promises an unforgettable experience for young and old alike

STRATFORD-UPON-AVON
The birthplace of William Shakespeare, the greatest writer in the English language, and home to the theatres of the world-renowned Royal Shakespeare Company, Stratford is a charming market town set in the heart of rural England. A delightful river winds its way through the town, past the beautiful Holy Trinity Church, where Shakespeare lies buried. There are some wonderful half-wooden buildings that date back to Shakespeares time, including the famous cottage of Anne Hathaway, who married the great writer in 1582. You can even see the school Shakespeare attended. Our tour includes a visit to Shakespeares birthplace, before we enjoy lunch in a 15th century inn in the picturesque Cotswolds.*

This is, quite simply, the greatest medieval castle in Britain. With a history that dates back over 1,000 years, Warwick Castle will take you back in time - to a world of sumptuous banquets, bloody battles and royal splendour. Enter over the footbridge and explore the castles ramparts, towers and gardens. The castle really brings history to life. Visit the waxwork displays of Madame Tussauds, where you can watch, and hear, the Earl of Warwicks preparations for battle. Feeling brave? Then take a look at the ghostly dungeons where prisoners were tortured. Alternatively, relax with a stroll through the castles beautiful gardens.

Warwick Castle & Ghost Alive @ Warwick Castle

Warwick Castle & Ghost Alive Information

THE GHOST TOWER - AND IT'S LIVE FROM 1ST APRIL WITH WARWICK GHOSTS ALIVE
Take a creepy tour around the 14th century Ghost Tower, once occupied by Sir Fulke Greville who is said to haunt the tower to this day, but beware it will be ?alive? from 1st April! Using a terrifying mix of live actors, sound, visual and light effects the story of Sir Fulke Greville's tragic murder is recreated. Welcomed by the creepy doorman, guests enter through a sinister creaking door. As soon as their eyes adjust to the darkness the scares begin to come thick and fast as they witness Sir Fulke's murder at the hands of his disgruntled servant, Ralph Haywood, who then turns his dagger upon himself. Warwick Ghosts - Alive is screamingly good fun but guests are advised that its scary content may make it unsuitable for children under eight or anyone of a nervous disposition.
